We can confirm that Rob Gammons will depart from his role as First Team Head Coach following our final game of the 2025/26 season on Saturday.
Rob stepped up to the plate during a time of dire need for the Club, leaving the Under 23s setup to assume the role as First Team Head Coach. He provided stability and leadership when we needed it most, and departs the role with nothing but praise from the Board - we are all hoping that Rob will continue his fantastic work with the Club, helping to bring through a number of younger players ready for First Team football.
The decision is nothing against Rob. When we needed him most, he was there for the Club, and has put the Club first, over other commitments, a number of times during his tenure. We thank him for everything he has done to support the Club throughout what has been a challenging, enduring campaign.
Chairman, Tony Scott: “When I approached Rob in January, he was receptive. He knew the situation we were in, and knew the challenge he would face. He has repeatedly been dealt blows, with a mass exodus of the playing squad, making his job no easier. He has led with positivity, and above all, commitment to the cause. I cannot thank him enough for the support and leadership he has provided to the First Team squad.”
An update on our First Team Management will be provided in due course.
