“We started strong, obviously got the penalty, went ahead, went two-up, they brought one back. But, I think we were mostly in control of most of the game, but obviously, things went wrong in the game, we got a red card and we just had to dig deep and enjoy defending, the most important thing is that we got the three points. We made it more difficult than it needed to be, but we got the three points.
“Going behind and losing a man is hard enough as it is, but with Hackney Wick, they’re a young side, you know they’ve got lots in the legs, lots of energy, so they did make it a bit tough for us, but we dug in and survived.
“It’s massive, it’s massive. Obviously, we wanted to win the game in a better fashion. I feel like if we stayed with 11 men then we would have done that, we could have gone on to score more and win a bit more convincing, but, you know, we went down to ten men, we dealt with it and we got the three points. Three points is the most important things, so we take that and build from it and we look for the next game.”
