Through collaboration with our fantastic supporters group, we have arranged for a collection to be made at Saturday's Essex Senior League game against Halstead Town - our final home game of 2025 - with donations being made to Redbridge Food Bank.

Anyone who donates will receive a complimentary mince pie.

As a Club, we always thrive to seek opportunities where we can tie our dealings as a football club into the local community. Whether that be through giving out free tickets, or endorsing the Essex Senior League's Bin Knives Save Lives campaign, this is just another example of how, as a local non-league Club, we can give back to our community who support us and help us thrive.

Alex, one of our loyal supporters, who was vital in the collection taking place, has offered his views on the collection.

"This food bank drive was thought up by our brilliant fans group, with our community sub-group taking the lead with the fantastic support of the Club!

"At this time of year it’s vitally important to think about those who may be struggling with the current cost of living, and how, as a community Club, Woodford Town FC can give back.

"Our fans have been hard at work over the past week, promoting the game online and to local businesses, with donations from local Tesco and Lidl stores to support our initiative. A special thanks must also go out to Jean, who has made over 100 mince pies to give out on Saturday to those donating items."
