The Woods are off on another Emirates FA Cup adventure this afternoon, as we travel to Southern League Premier Central Division side Bury Town, who play at Step Three of the Non-League pyramid.
The Woods:
Shane Baptiste's side will be looking to bounce back from their first league defeat of the Essex Senior campaign last time out, as we lost 2-1 to Romford eight days ago. Aside from that, our only other defeat of the season came in the Isuzu FA Vase, with Step Six Lymore Gardens knocking us out at the first hurdle.
We entered the Emirates FA Cup at the earliest possible stage, defeating Colney Heath 4-0 in that Extra Preliminary Round tie. In the Preliminary Round, we overcame a tough battle with Harlow Town, winning 3-2 in a replay thanks to Alex Kozak's 117th-minute winner, whilst we tasted victory in thrilling fashion in the First Qualifying Round, beating Step Four side Newmarket Town 3-2, with Dimi Christou scoring in the 73rd and 91st minute to secure a dramatic comeback.
Our hosts:
Bury currently sit around mid-table in the Southern League Premier South Division, having won three of their opening seven games of the season.
In a similar fashion to us, they came back from 2-1 down to win 3-2 in the previous round, beating Brightlingsea Regent, in what has been their only game in the competition so far this campaign.
