A first-half brace from David Gokou and a Marko Protic strike early in the second period saw Shane Baptiste's side pick up a victory on home soil against Harwich and Parkeston on Saturday afternoon, and move up to second in the Essex Senior League table!

Our number seven continued his goalscoring form from Wednesday's midweek win over Ilford, where he scored in our 4-1 victory, opening the deadlock on 23 minutes before scoring a second shortly before the break. Quickly after the interval, we sealed all three points, as Protic added a third, also meaning he has now scored in back-to-back matches.

The win sees Woodford jump to second in the table, three points behind leaders SOUL Tower Hamlets, who we face later this month, and level on points with Halstead Town.
