Woodford Town travelled to Benfleet on Tuesday night for a third successive away game in the Essex Senior League, a matchup that would coincidentally see The Woods draw for the third game in a row.

The hosts couldn't have got off to a better start at Woodside Stadium, as Mason Shave fired home with nine minutes on the clock, after some brilliant work down the left-hand side. Benfleet dominated for the majority of the first half, with Shane Baptiste's side struggling to gain a foothold in the clash.

However, the second half was a very different scene. We battled and pressed on for an equaliser, which finally came with 25 minutes left on the clock, thanks to David Gokou, as our number seven notched his second goal of the campaign! Despite the pressure late on, there was no way through for The Woods, meaning we headed back down the A127 with just a solitary point to add to our tally.
