Shane Baptiste's Woodford Town side earned themselves a replay after a thrilling ending at Harlow Town, with Marko Protic snatching an equaliser right at the death.
The tie was relatively cagey throughout, and in the first half, chances for both sides were few and far between. Arguably, the best opportunity came as Ollie Sotoyinbo was played through, he rounded the goalkeeper, but lost his footing at the pivotal moment, and his effort was cleared off the line.
After a goalless opening 45 minutes, the second period also very nearly ended the same way. The hosts were dominant and had many chances to take the lead, but for some great goalkeeping by Manny Agboola, who pulled off his best save in the 91st minute. The Woods' number one came flying out of his goal to make a great stop to deny a one-on-one, before Mike Agboola cleared the rebound off the line.
Deep into the stoppage time, Sam Owusu was harshly penalised for a challenge inside the penalty area, and the referee pointed to the spot. Up stepped Joe Dearman, who sent Agboola the wrong way, and he looked like he had stolen the victory in the 95th minute.
However, Woodford immediately went on a late charge for an equaliser, and after Gabriel Ipanga was fouled, it presented Malaki Toussaint with an opportunity to deliver a free kick into the penalty area. His deep cross was punched away by a Harlow defender, and the man in the middle pointed to the spot for the second time in as many minutes, gifting the visitors a late chance of redemption!
As the clock ticked over into the 9th minute of added time, substitute Marko Protic struck his penalty home, tucking it into the corner and sending the goalkeeper the wrong way, rounding off a dramatic finish to the game and setting up a replay at Ashton's Stadium on Wednesday night!
