A goal in each half from Ollie Sotoyinbo and Dimi Christou ensured we made it six wins from seven at the beginning of the Essex Senior League - a campaign which has seen us already face a staggering fifteen matches across all competitions.
We started off proceedings on a positive note. Throughout the course of the ninety, we peppered the Basildon United goal, hitting the woodwork on more than one occasion as we battled to create opportunities against the visitors' rigid structure.
Eventually, we did find a way through after our early pressure, as Sotoyinbo scored from a cross, before substitute Christou added a second to seal all three points late on in the affair. The victory moves Woodford Town back to the top of the Essex Senior League table!
