Shane Baptiste's side make the short trip across the borough to Oakside Stadium on Friday night, taking on Eastern Counties League Division One South opposition in Lymore Gardens in the Isuzu FA Vase.
Last season, The Woods fell at this stage of the competition, the first hurdle, losing on penalties to Hadleigh United after a 0-0 draw in the regulatory 90 minutes - the outcome meant it was the only time we had fallen out of the competition prior to the Second Qualifying Round since our reformation in 2017.
Tonight's tie will be decided on the night, with penalty kicks determining the winner if the scores are level after 90 minutes. Extra time will not be played this evening.
After late drama saw Woodford progress in the Emirates FA Cup on Wednesday night, Shane Baptiste will be hoping to rally his troops to go once again with a short turnaround, looking to take another step further in a cup competition at this early stage of the season.
