Shane Baptiste’s Woodford Town side are heading up the A127 to take on newly-promoted Hackney Wick on the opening day of the 2025/26 Essex Senior League season!

After coming so close to promotion last campaign, there is no better opportunity for The Woods to return to winning ways this afternoon than the first league game of the season at Witham Town’s Spa Road, due to a ground-share agreement between today’s hosts and Witham.

Whilst it will be a tough test, Woodford will be looking to start as they mean to go on, with fans also having the chance to catch a glimpse of twelve retained players and seven new signings on the road this afternoon.
