Shane Basptiste's Woodford Town were forced to settle for a point at home on the final day of the 24/25 Essex Senior League, with a first half equaliser from Barking proving to be enough to secure them a point, but not enough to move them up to fourth place despite Great Wakering Rovers' draw away at Stansted.
Marko Protic found the corner to open the scoring with 21 minutes on the clock, but The Woods were pegged back just three minutes later as Sam Shaban struck home.
The hosts had opportunities to win the game but failed to take them. Despite Barking growing into the clash in the second half, they also failed to find a way through Manny Agboola, meaning the two sides played out a 1-1 draw in the last game of the regular season in front of 272 supporters - the highest home crowd at Ashton's this season.
Woodford will be in action on Wednesday night, again at home, as we embark on our play-off journey.
