Ollie Sotoyinbo joined us for the latest edition of The Sit Down, as we discussed our latest Emirates FA Cup outing, as well as looking ahead to Wednesday night's replay in the competition.
Our number nine has been in hot form at the beginning of the campaign, scoring ten goals in his opening two months as a Woodford Town player, and he has cemented a spot as one of the many fan favourites amongst the playing group.
We’ve taken Bury Town back to Ashton’s on Wednesday. Just how big a feat is that, considering they’re two divisions above us?
"It’s absolutely massive for everyone involved at the Club. It’s a great chance to get Ashton’s rocking again on Wednesday night. It also shows just how much ability we have in the squad."
Another goal for yourself on Saturday makes it double digits this season. Talk us through the goal and tell us about your instinct to find the back of the net so consistently.
“I simply pounced on a sloppy touch from the opposition defenders and took my shot early, low and hard, which luckily caught the keeper off guard.
“With scoring goals, you can’t be scared to miss chances. So it’s just about making sure you’re constantly making the right runs and with the quality in the team, trusting that they find me.”
Our supporters turned out in numbers and brought the noise once again on the road in the FA Cup. A message to them ahead of Wednesday night’s replay?
“This will be our biggest game of the season so far. We need as many Woodford Town fans as possible at the game. The energy we feel from the fans whilst on the pitch is unmatched! We, as players, feel privileged to have them. With the fans as our 12th man, we hope to get the job done against Bury Town.
